Can you rig my computer ...

How about we just all compromise and agree to call Gator "crapware" or "assware" or "you-scum-of-the-Earth-should-suffer-and-die-ware"? They can define the category!

I will rededicate the rest of my life to ruining the rest of yours.

You know what's annoying? Annoying is sitting in a plane, a row ahead of the only two bastards who won't shut up. Well, OK, that's only mildly annoying. What makes it fully annoying is that they're technology consultants for the same company chatting it up about technology that they have no idea about. Neither one has the foggiest idea what they're saying, but they're just spewing back marketing drivel and consultant techno-babble back and forth trying to sound all impressive and, of course, buying each other's crap hook line and sinker. What makes it maddeningly annoying is when they start badmouthing a not-present coworker for not understanding anything about their business. Unfortunately I didn't catch what company these people were from, but it's a good thing the flight was five hours long and not five hours and one minute long, as I was about a minute away from turning around and asking so that I could inform them that I'd dedicate the rest of my life to dissuading anyone from ever doing business with any company that would hire them.

This entry begins my capsule reviews of new shows I'm following this season. Joan of Arcadia, in a nutshell: Dad is nonoffensive - a little overdramatic, but plots are a nice change of pace. Younger brother is insignificant so far, but is at least amusing. Joan herself is awesome ... props to Amber Tamblyn for nailing this role absolutely perfectly ... her interactions with God are brilliantly written and protrayed. And that leads to the older brother. Who, I'm sorry to say, was only crippled in a car accident and wasn't smeared into a little paste on the ground, alongside a smear of the mother. Those two characters need to die and be forgotten ASAP, as they are unilaterally horrifically awful - writing, characters, and acting - all the way across the board.

Edit: Clarified which brother I think should be turned into paste.

Three for three with two RBIs, two walks and a stolen base.

It's a good thing I'm not a real baseball fan.

Who wants to watch a World Series where you don't want either freakin' team to win.

How do you go from Boston vs. Chicago, two perennial underdogs that'd be fun to watch play to New York vs. Florida, where you see that baseball == $$ and you just want a large asteroid to fall on the stadium?

Ugh.

Fortunately, I can just turn off the TV and commence not caring again. Poor baseball fans.
