Who does that? *sad*

Who hits an animal approximately the size of a cat and then doesn't go back and see a) what it was, b) if it's alive, and then if it's domesticated, c) who owns it. Who are these cretins??

As I was driving home from my parents' tonight I found a kitty right on the yellow line - it's a busy road, but apparently NO ONE thought to go find the owner. So I went looking. It was a pretty cat, too. So sad. The first house I went to no one answers, and the second house a woman came to the door and said she thought it was the father of her cat sitting on the lawn (but he (the dad cat) belonged to the neighbors). She said she's get him out of the road and see if it was him. :( :( :( Then I had to see/hear two cars in a row hit the cat again. For christ's sake people, AVOID the animal in the road, even if it is dead already.

If you don't want credit offers

Call 1-888-567-8688

It's a semi-retarded voice automated thing, but it will get you off the list for five years. Thank you, Jesus!

A snowball with a gooey center

OMFG - that made my day.

First of all, there is about four inches of snow on the ground in most places right now, which is a whole different odd story. Anyhow . . .

This guy is walking his pug right outside my window and the dog takes a sh*t at the end of my driveway. Last time I got preemptively irrate when someone let their dog crap in my yard he ended up picking it up with a baggy, so I decided to chill this time and assume the guy is going to be a polite dog owner/walker. Well, the guy has no bag, but it doesn't seem to even cross his mind to scurry off (maybe he saw me through the window). So he starts packing snow around the pile and makes a big old poo-filled snowball, which he then picks up and transfers to a strip of grass that no one cares about. I'm already about to fall out of my chair laughing and then, while walking away, the guy sniffs his hand and decides his snowball wasn't that effective. *falls on floor*

When Technology Goes Retarded

I just had to send the following mail to PSE.

"Despite the fact that I did the verification step last time when I had to migrate from eBill to My PSE Account, the system continues to prompt me to verify myself and it will not accept any such data. I've now tried the following things to log onto my PSE Account.

- Log on with my existing username and password in My PSE Account. Attempt to verify my Customer Name and Account Number. No customer information found.
- Log on with my old eBill username and password. Attempt to verify my name, date of birth, and phone number. Incorrect information.
- Log on with my old eBill username and password. Attempt to verify Customer Name and Account Number. No customer information found.
- Get a new password generated and mailed to me. All three attempts above were retried with the new password.

I don't know exactly what's wrong, but whatever it is, it's incredibly frustrating. What do I need to do to fix my account and actually pay my bill?"

What I actually wanted to do was send that mail with a lot more swearing and tell them how incredibly retarded they are. Why is it this difficult to actually pay them money? FFS, if I want to give them money, why the Hell won't they take it?

Beating with a reality stick.

Have you ever had a person in your life that needed a good hard beating with a reality stick? I've got a bunch. Mostly (okay, all) members of my family. I know we all overreact/freak out/misbehave from time to time and need a bit of a lashing, but I'm talking about the people who are totally functional in an alternate universe in which everything (usually) revolves around them. Okay, I just had that revelation as I typed it . . . the problem with these people is that they don't see anything past their own nose. My cousin and her ex have this problem. And my cousin's mom. All three of them are *massively* self-absorbed to the point that they don't understand why they should parent, own a car, or pay rent. I wonder where these kinds of people have been while I have been living life in the real world. I don't deny that I have had many privileges (sp), but I also like to believe that I know how most things work, such as credit, loans, debt, cars, rent, the responsiblities of parenting, the need for the bathroom not to smell like urine, that when someone gives you an inch you take at most two inches - not a mile, that a household pet should not go a whole day without water just because you tripped on the bowl and it made you angry, that utilities cost money, that loaning out your car is risky, that doors to a house need to be locked, that painting walls doesn't require getting paint on the floor, that rat cages cannot be left open when there is a cat in the house, that you can't take an engagement ring back over a woman's hesitance to set a date when she is 19 years old, that screaming at someone in public is not acceptable, that a sweet face doesn't get you that far, that cell phone minutes are not worth fight over, that resumes cannot have spelling mistakes like "murchandise" . . .

Okay, here's the real problem with all of this - somehow I have been put in charge of the beating. AKA "Mentoring". As if I have the time and the mental capacity to parent a clueless 19-year old, let alone the bargaining power, since I'm only 5.5 years older. Fcuk. Seriously, people. Um, law school?? Mom breathing down my neck about losing weight? Long distance relationship?

Misogyny is alive and well

AP Report "JACKSON, Miss. - A state House committee voted to ban most abortions in Mississippi, which already has some of the strictest abortion laws in the nation. The bill approved by the House Public Health Committee on Tuesday would allow abortion only to save the pregnant woman's life. It would make no exception in cases of rape or incest. The bill now goes to the full House, which could vote next week, and then to the Senate. "
